There are certain jobs that you would think you will never be injured in, but a female judge at Wimbledon found out the hard way by standing close to tennis balls travelling at over a hundred miles an hour.
The unlucky judge was working on a game between Jo-Wilfried Tsonga from France and Mardy Fish from the US when she was hit in the eye by a tennis ball at 118mph and still managed to make the call.
She was then led off the court to applause from the crowd for her bravery to be seen to and treated.
There isn’t any information about whether she actually damaged her eye in the unfortunate accident, but no doubt details will be released to the press in the near future if she has.
If you have been injured at work, why not talk to our team of personal injury solicitors about making a claim today.
