A man who has injured in an accident where two motorbikes collided has reportedly been awarded millions in compensation.
The accident occurred back in 2007 and saw Shazzad Khan riding his Kawasaki motorbike on the B1057 before colliding head on with Paulo Barbosa on his Yamaha.
Paulo unfortunately lost his life on the scene of the accident and Shazzard suffered serious brain injuries as well as damaging his leg.
Mr Khan has been left with a personality disorder as a result of the accident which will impact him for the rest of his life.
Upon investigating the accident it was found the Mr Barbosa had just purchased the bike and was driving without insurance. Both drivers were thought to be travelling around 80mph but Mr Barbosa was on the wrong side of the road when the crash occurred.
Mr Khan is thought to have received millions in compensation from the Motor Insurers’ Bureau due to the other drivers lack of insurance.
