A woman who survived a fatal car crash that killed her friend is said to be seeking compensation of £300,000.
Alicia Allison, 21 was giving her friend Rosemary Smith, 22 a lift on the A63 when they broke down near South Cave, Yorkshire and attempted to move into the central reservation.
A Mercedes being driven by Anthony Norris collided into the back of their Peugeot 106, killing Rosemary.
Alicia survived the accident but suffered with a smashed thigh and 25% burns and had to be pulled from the burning wreckage by passers by. She needed 6 months recovery before heading back to the army.
The 2010 collision is currently being investigated to determine whether Mr Norris was to blame for the accident.
The High Court is said to be currently considering the Car accident claim that has been submitted by Miss Allison’s solicitor.
